The Work Package leader

Each work package will have a Work Package Leader(WPL) whose task it is to ensure that all activities within the sphere of the work package are carried out in a timely manner and especially to coordinate and ensure prompt delivery of all deliverables.

When needed, he/she makes proposals to the Steering Committee on:

  • arrangements for performance, orientations of the WP according to his/her own WP’s results and other WP’s;
  • allocation of tasks, financial needs and allocation among the WP team members.

All contractors are expected to contribute actively in the work packages in which they are involved, but it is the job of each WPL to ensure that all contractors know what is expected of them and to check delivery.

Each organisation named a WPL will ensure that a person of appropriate standing and qualification is in charge of leading the work.

As a relay for the Management between the strategic and operational levels of the project, the WPL must alert the Steering Committee when he/she has identified a risk within the workpackage implementation. This applies to any difficulty arising in connection with the conduct of the workpackage.

The WPL also has an important role in the efficiency of the internal communication.

The participants will keep in regular contact on the workpackage implementation, in addition to the proper meetings that will be organised.
