WP 1: Project Management: M01(09/2008) – M33(05/2011)

The management of the project encompasses

  • Project coordination and administration: dealing with general administration, contractual issues, interfacing Celtic office and other bodies.
  • Technical coordination: dealing with technical issues and following the day-to-day evolution of the work from the various WPs, etc.
  • Dissemination and exploitation

Project Coordination

This task will be undertaken by the Steering Committee, which will be composed of a Project Coordinator, and Project Delegates (one per partner). The Project Coordinator Committee will assume, amongst others, the following tasks: interface with the Celtic Office; legal, administrative and contractual management of the consortium; ultimate instance of conflict resolution, etc.

Each partner will designate a Project Delegate (one per partner) to represent the partner’s interests in the Committee.

There will be two national coordinators, one for France and one for Belgium.

Technical Coordination

This task will be undertaken by the Project Coordinator, who is also the technical coordinator, and the WP leaders.

The Technical Coordination will assume, amongst others, the following tasks: coordination at consortium level of technical activities and knowledge management; giving technical advice and recommendations; technical controlling of the results from the Working Teams, etc.

Each WP will have a Work Package Leader. This person will be responsible of the organization of work of the WP, the control of the activities and outputs of the developing teams, the fulfilment of the deadlines, etc.

This technical coordination will be reported to the steering committee.

Dissemination and exploitation

The consortium will have signed a consortium agreement prior to the start of the project. This agreement will explicitly list:

  • background knowledge the partners bring to the project - in particular explicit assets in terms of intellectual property (trademarks, patents…) will be mentioned;
  • specific usage conditions of this background knowledge by other partners of the consortium;
  • foreground knowledge that every partner expects to generate through the project, along with envisioned Intellectual Property protection mechanisms (trademarks, patents…);
  • preferred valorisation mode of the generated knowledge and pre-agreement on specific conditions for other partners of the consortium.

The knowledge generated in the project will be protected by patents wherever feasible. Dissemination of scientific results will be through publications in technical literature and presentations at conferences. Publication in trade literature and presentations at trade conferences will also be used to disseminate the technology developed.
